Bio

Edward Ronsman is a shareholder of McCabe|Ronsman and practices in the area of community association law. Mr. Ronsman is a Florida Bar Board Certified Specialist in the area of Condominium & Planned Development Law – the first year that such certification was offered. Mr. Ronsman received his Bachelor of Arts in History from St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2008.

Mr. Ronsman has extensive experience representing community associations, providing assistance in day to day governance, document interpretation and amendment, contract drafting and review, collection of delinquent accounts, election disputes, and enforcement proceedings. Mr. Ronsman is experienced in litigating matters involving community associations, while also handling statutory mediation proceedings and arbitration before the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (“DBPR”).

Mr. Ronsman is an approved instructor of educational courses for Community Association Mangers (CAM) by the DBPR, including legislative updates, homeowner association and condominium association certification courses, as well as other substantive courses on day to day issues affecting community association managers. Mr. Ronsman is actively involved in Community Associations Institute (CAI), serving as President of the Northeast Florida Chapter from 2016-2017 and as immediate past president in 2018. Mr. Ronsman served as a Chapter delegate for the Florida Legislative Alliance Committee (FLAC) of CAI. Mr. Ronsman also provides pro bono legal services for St. Johns County Legal Aid.

Mr. Ronsman was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2008 and is admitted to practice law in Florida state courts and the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida. Mr. Ronsman is a member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar (“RPPTL”), serving as a member of the Condominium & Planned Law Development Committee.
